Ten years ago I would not have even entertained the idea of writing a book. Now I am a published author. Ten years ago, however, I was living a different life. It was a good life full of success. But I was living with a secret.

CoomerphotoDid you know there are 27 million slaves in the world today?  27 million.  According to the census bureau the population of Texas is about 26.9 million.  Imagine the entire state of Texas as slaves.  Seventy-nine percent of those slaves are trapped in sex slavery.  The media today uses the buzz words “human trafficking” to describe this appalling industry. Yes, it is an industry.

You can find these facts and many others with any Google search. They are true. But I am real. I have a face. My name is Michele. And I am a survivor of human trafficking.

Several years ago I discovered what God’s word had to say about slavery, and I experienced a radical life change.  Scripture has dozens of stories of captivity and one common thread – freedom is found only in the grace of God. After escaping from the industry I lived 25 years under the guise of living free. The reality is that I wasn’t at all free. I was wearing a mask and hiding my secret. It wasn’t until the truth of God’s word penetrated my heart and I could see myself as God does that I experienced true and complete freedom.CoomerCover

I have a story and so do you. We all have things in our lives that hold us captive and prevent us from living the glorious life
God intended.  foreseen.forgiven.FREE. is about connecting my story to your story and experiencing freedom you didn’t even know existed. As I share my story and my journey to freedom I walk you, the reader, through your own personal journey. Once I experienced my amazing freedom I wanted to tell my story and help other hurting women find the same freedom.

First, I started CHOSEN4Freedom Ministry and began speaking at events, sharing my story and the truth of God’s word. At each event I would have so many women approach me and tell me their story, wanting to find freedom.  That is where the book was born. I wanted to be able to point women to something tangible to help them take the next step in finding their own freedom.
